Emily Bottomley has been attending her local bowling centre for as long as she can remember, having grown up with parents who were both keen bowlers themselves. She was selected for the National Training Squad in 2018, and has represented Australia internationally on numerous occasions, and recently placed third at the TBA21 Masters.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever received and who was it from? After I missed the finals at the Sydney Junior Cup one year, Jamie Taafe wrote on a napkin ‘I may not always win but I will always learn’ and to this day that napkin hangs on the back of my door and is a reminder that no matter where you finish in an event there is always something positive to take away from it.
